Holiday farms in Vicenza

The "L'Antica Colombara" holiday farm is situated in Campolongo, San Germano dei Berici (Vicenza, Italy). During the 16th and 17th Centuries, this ancient village was the home of the Procurator of the "Serenissima" Republic of Venice who lived in a villa attributed to Vincent Scamozzi, Architect.
The oldest section of Campolongo holds the "Colombara Tower" and the adjacent "Country House", which date back to the 14th and 15th Centuries. It is here that the CANTARELLA family created the lodgings for their holiday farm.
The holiday farm covers an area of 32 hectares; the ground at the foot of the hills is used for viticulture, while cereals are grown on the plateau. The farm also has a big vegetable garden where fresh seasonal vegetables are grown and then served to guests.
Our guests are hosted in apartments (which we call "casetta") with two bedrooms and a suite.
The "casetta" has a bedroom with a double and a single bed, an access area to the bathroom and a big kitchen-living room with divan that can be transformed into a double or single bed when necessary. There is a courtyard at the front of the apartment and a terrace with a view of the valley at the back.
There is a double bedroom and a bedroom that sleeps four.
The suite hosts a maximum of four people and the sleeping area is separate from the living room. The sitting room has a fireplace, a table with chairs, a sofa-bed and a mini bar/fridge.
For those who want to enter the wonderful world of the Berici Hills, "L'Antica Colombara" is the perfect starting point for suggestive excursions. The CANTARELLA is only too pleased to give guests a detailed topographical map of the area and to indicate the best routes for discovering the Berici Hills. Campolongo is in Central Veneto, the perfect place for going to the splendid art cities of Vicenza, Verona, Padua and Venice quickly and easily. You can visit numerous Palladian Villas, get to know less known medieval centres such as Este, Arquà Petrarca, Montagnana, Soave, and Marostica. It is also very easy to go to Garda Lake from here.
